My Journey on the Way of the Sacred
I have always felt a connection to Spirit since I was a little girl. I remember sitting in grand cathedrals, looking up at the vaulted ceilings singing hymns with tears rolling down my face. I was in love with the Divine, Its presence has always been a very strong pull for me.
Throughout my life I explored many avenues of spirituality and religion, seeking to know Spirit more deeply. I delved into Christianity, Jewish Mysticism, Zen Buddhism and A Course of Miracles. I came to know my own body and breath with Yoga. I joined in ceremony and ritual with Wiccans, Native Americans and Incan Shamans. I chanted to Hindu Gods in kirtan and mantra circles. I learned the sacred ways of the Celts and Pagans and prayed before the altar of Isis. I worked with crystals, Angels, Ascended Masters and the Elements. I learned the power of the present moment among the trees, stones, rivers and lakes. I moved through my fears in fire and glass walks. I sat in circles of many kinds connecting my spirit and intention with others to raise the vibration of the collective.
When I was a teenager I felt an ache in my heart, a calling. I knew I was here to live beyond an ordinary life. For many years, from my teens to my adulthood, I prayed to know my mission, to have the path revealed to me and the doors to open so I may do this work.
At the age of 45 I entered into a very difficult segment of of my journey, the darkest night I have ever experienced. It lasted for several years during which time I sought out healing modalities that would help me to navigate this dark, heavy and dense energy and find my way back to the light. This experience has made me who I am today and I am now in gratitude for it. From it I gathered my personal power, continue to stand in my truth and awaken more and more everyday. I reached into the darkest parts of myself and found tools to integrate, heal and empower me.
I have since learned how to heal and transmute these energies with gentleness and love for myself, without the need to travel into to the dark, heavy void anymore.
I received my name, Deva Vidya, from Spirit after navigating through this time. It translates to Divine Wisdom and this is the gift I am continually given.
I believe that my journey has led me to be a way shower. I traveled through the darkness and paved a path so that I may lead others through their stuckness and blocks with more love, awareness, and understanding. I am their guide and companion on this path, shining a light so they may see through the darkness to their own place of power; being grounded and centered in their own personal truth. When they live in this way they can rise in self-love, self-worth, self-confidence and self-trust to create the life they desire and fulfill their mission with ease, joy and glory.
My deep relationship with Divine Energy is awakening me to see the world with new eyes, understanding our nature as human beings and the need for a symbiotic relationship with the Earth as a whole on a deeper level then ever before. I am being shown a way of connecting to Spirit, honoring the ancient traditions while moving forward in a new way that resonates more with who we are and what is needed today.
With this new vision I am being led to run retreats and programs that gather women together in a Circle of Sacred Sisterhood. We come together to re-connect with the Divine Feminine presence within ourselves and the support of the Sisters. I assist these women by offering them the tools that I have been divinely given so that they too may remember their own true nature, their connection to Spirit and the Earth and realize their innate wisdom and power.
I am also guided to do this work one on one as a mentor and guide in an on-going program; working closely with each woman that comes to me, addresses each one’s personal needs.
I use many modalities to do this work: yoga and meditation, chakra balancing, shamanic journeying, energy healing. Angelic & Spirit Guide communication, sound, crystals, essential oils and working with the elements and nature. I have been gifted Light Language, the ability to speak in the Voice of the Divine Mother which many have felt the healing and loving effects of.
I am writing a book to guide women along the path I have journeyed entitled, Awaken Priestess! And am working on a Webinar to lead men and women on the Sacred Path . Together with my partner Sharon Silverstein, I write and perform music as Way of the Sacred. This music offers divine messages and high vibrational energy. It is my hope to publish this book and record this music so it many reach many, offering its gifts of healing and empowerment.
I love my life now and I love the work I do. I am honored to be called to such a noble and important vocation. I humbly bow before you and offer my services. Let me show you the Way of the Sacred.
